Hertfordshire Community Foundation offers a range of grants to support community and voluntary organisations across Hertfordshire.

The grant programmes currently open for applications are listed below. Please select the relevant programme to view full details, including eligibility criteria, application guidance and deadlines.

Crisis and Resilience Fund

Grants from £5,000 are available

Application deadline: Rolling with an approximate 2-month turnaround time

Funding for groups supporting adults and families to access food in a crisis and to help build financial resilience. Funding made available by Hertfordshire County Council from the Government's Crisis and Resilience Fund

Grants of up to £5,000

For groups within 25 miles of Royston, addressing need and disadvantage including rural isolation.

HCF Grants


Grants of up to £10,000

Application deadline £5,000 grants: Open and rolling with no deadline

Application deadline £10,000 grants: 24th August 2026

Grants available for projects addressing need and deprivation in Hertfordshire, with regular deadlines throughout the year.

Hertfordshire Community Spaces

Grants of up to £2,000

Application deadline: Rolling with an approximate 2-month turnaround time

Previously known as Warm/Cool Spaces.

Funding for community groups to open their doors wide to their community, made available by Hertfordshire County Council.

Hertfordshire Community Transport Fund

Grants of up to £500

Application deadline: rolling with an approximate 2-month turnaround

Grants available to groups to transport residents to their local community activities or community spaces. This includes lunch clubs, essential support and those who live in rural areas.

Charities, community groups, non-profits and schools can apply for grants to improve access to music for children and young people in Hertfordshire.

Herts Green Impact Fund


Grants of up to £1,000

Application deadline: rolling

The Herts Green Impact helps local Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations build a greener and more sustainable future. With a mix of hands-on training and grants, the fund supports organisations to improve their sustainability in the long and short term.
