A morning with Hertfordshire’s Professional Advisors

Hertfordshire Community Foundation (HCF) was delighted to host our Professional Advisors networking event on Tuesday, 11 June 2025 at the beautiful Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds.
We were thrilled to welcome 12 teams from local legal, financial and professional services firms for a morning of meaningful connection, philanthropy insights, and a little healthy competition on the clay shooting range.

The day began in The Lodge with a delicious networking breakfast, where guests caught up with familiar faces and made new connections before a series of engaging presentations.

Special thanks to our speakers:

  • Nat Young from Longmores Solicitors, our event sponsor, who also announced the launch of a new Longmores Solicitors Fund with HCF — a brilliant example of local businesses giving back to their community.

  • Paul Robin, CEO of HCF, who shared how professional advisors can work with HCF to support their clients’ philanthropic goals in Hertfordshire.

  • Jonny Whitehead, CEO of Herts Young Homeless, who gave an inspiring and heartfelt talk about the charity’s vital work and the tangible impact of local giving.

  • Robert Voss CBE CStJ, HCF President and Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, who passionately championed the work of small, local charities and the importance of community philanthropy.

  • Amanda Jansen, HCF’s Head of Philanthropy, who explained how HCF can support professional advisors in offering their clients tailored, tax-efficient and impactful giving solutions.

Then it was time to head outside, where Holland & Holland’s expert gun instructors provided a brilliant clay shooting experience in the stunning grounds. With plenty of camaraderie, laughter and a touch of competitive spirit, it was a fantastic way to round off the morning.

Back at The Lodge, HCF’s Chair of Trustees, Henry Holland-Hibbert, closed the event with a few words of thanks to everyone who made the day so special.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making this event a success. Should you know a professional advisor that might like to attend a similar event in future, please send us an email to marketing@hertscf.org.uk
