Applying for funding

HCF manages over 100 charitable funds to support local charities, community and voluntary groups in Hertfordshire.

We welcome applications from both new and established groups and also have two funds that award grants to support individuals.

Grants for groups

Funding is available for charities, voluntary and community groups in Hertfordshire working to improve the lives of those who live here.

Grants for individuals

HCF offers a limited number of opportunities for funding for individuals living in Hertfordshire.

Translation support

Hertfordshire Community Foundation now offers support for volunteers and staff with English as a second language.

Languages available: Polish, Croatian, Italian, Urdu, Bengali and Romanian.

HCF's 2025 Annual Reception at Sopwell House

On Tuesday 16 September, Hertfordshire Community Foundation (HCF) welcomed more than 140 supporters to our 2025 Annual Reception at the beautiful Sopwell House. The evening celebrated the impact of local philanthropy and the difference HCF’s supporters make to communities across the county.
