Background

The Ware Charities is a local organisation, long established and funded by legacies, which can in approved circumstances provide financial support to:

  • people in need living in Ware, Wareside or Thundridge

The Charity can provide support to, for example:

  • individuals and families struggling for basic living needs (e.g. critical white goods and basic furnishings)

  • parents and carers seeking to retrain and needing help with course fees

In 2023 The Ware Charities concluded that local individuals and families would be better served if the fund was administered by Hertfordshire Community Foundation (HCF).

HCF are pleased to fulfil The Ware Charities’ aims by continuing to administer this fund for the benefit of individuals and families living in the parishes of Ware, Thundridge and Wareside.
