High Sheriff Awards 2023 open for nominations

The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire 2022/23, Sally Burton DL, is now inviting nominations for the 2023 High Sheriff of Hertfordshire Awards.
This year the Awards will seek to recognise Hertfordshire voluntary groups and charities supporting my themes which are addressing mental health issues, mainly those involving addiction to drugs and alcohol, and the problems which stem from addiction such as domestic abuse and homelessness. Nominations from these groups as well as from those tackling needs arising from or exacerbated by the pandemic are welcomed.

Groups will be considered by the High Sheriff’s panel. Winners will be announced at the High Sheriff Awards evening on 9th March 2023 and will receive a cash prize.

In addition the panel will also be seeking innovative and successful crime prevention projects carried out by young people for a National Crimebeat Award.

Further details on the Award criteria can be found here. The nomination deadline is Monday, 3 October 2022.
