Funding Local Causes

Hertfordshire's business community starts charitable fund

Keeping the Heart in Herts Charitable Fund is a new charitable fund dedicated to making a positive impact in Hertfordshire.

The Fund is a joint partnership between the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce and Hertfordshire Community Foundation and is an opportunity for local businesses who are passionate about giving back to the local community.

With the ambition to raise £150,000+ over three years, the Fund has already gained support from KANE, a 2nd generation family business in Welwyn Garden City.

Jonathan Kane, Chief Executive Officer, KANE said "We are delighted to support HCF. By contributing to Keeping the Heart in Herts fund, KANE improves the economic and social wellbeing of communities where our colleagues live and work. I encourage other businesses to join to ensure people living in Hertfordshire can access support when they need it most."

Chamber members are making annual commitments to the fund, either directly from their business, or as individuals (tax relief may apply). The contributions are flexible and can either be a fixed annual donation, or change each year or be a percentage of their profit.
