Building stronger communities

Herts Asian Women Association’s Saheli Tiffin Club attracts nearly 40 elderly Asian women to their weekly meetings.
Attendees speak limited to no English and are at risk of being isolated. Activities include exercise classes, English lessons and the occasional external speaker and excursion – all aimed at helping the women to make friends and become part of a community.

The club received £6,600 from the Tampon Tax Fund to enable them to continue to support these women.
