HCF is proud to announce the launch of The Green Herts Sustainability Fund, a new initiative designed to help VCSE (Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise) organisations across Hertfordshire take action against climate change and make their operations more environmentally sustainable.
Climate change and pollution disproportionately impact vulnerable communities. By embracing sustainable practices, VCSE organisations can not only reduce their environmental footprint but also attract new funding opportunities, increase operational savings and foster positive morale among staff. This fund aims to equip local charities with the resources, training, and financial support to make lasting, eco-friendly changes.
Key features of The Green Herts Sustainability Fund:
Green Grants – Up to £1,000 for Sustainability ImprovementsThe Green Grant fund offers VCSE organisations up to £1,000 to improve their workplace’s environmental sustainability. This funding can be used for a range of improvements that lower carbon emissions, such as upgrading to energy-efficient lighting, insulating drafty windows, or enhancing overall energy efficiency. By investing in sustainability, organisations can demonstrate leadership in environmental responsibility while potentially saving on operational costs.
