Our team of advisors are providing 1:1 advice for voluntary and community organisations

HCF Training & Development will be offering Advice & Guidance to support organisations in these challenging times. This 1:1 service is now available to leadership and management staff, of small to medium charitable organisations. (The service can be fully funded to organisations that provide services within adult social care).

All our advisors are all qualified to advise on workforce development. All have extensive experience in the voluntary and community sector. In addition they bring a wealth of specialist skills that can benefit the groups that HCF supports.

    You may be faced with making difficult decisions at this time, perhaps adjusting your services, while protecting your staff and service users. Our experienced advisors are here to guide you in ensuring your organisation’s leadership is well supported & informed during this time.


  • 1:1 Funding Advice
    Our sustainability trainers are here to guide you in adapting your fundraising strategy in these uncertain times. We can also offer feedback or advice on making grant applications. Do you have a bid that you have started to apply for that you would like feedback on, or are you struggling with completing one? Our trainers can help you with their knowledge and advice.



  • 1:1 IT Training (in partnership with Herts CVS services)
    Organisations may need to adapt to using new technology, in order to continue running services during this crisis. Do you need advice on how best to ensure accessibility for staff and service users during these times? If you need some IT advice or training, please get in touch.

Spring Walk raises money for local charities
Over 40 enthusiastic participants gathered in the picturesque Hertfordshire countryside in Buntingford on a sunny morning on 18 April to raise funds and awareness for a good cause. The spring walk was organised by Hertfordshire Community Foundation’s (HCF) Ambassador Henrietta Buxton and graciously hosted by HCF Trustee James Hopkins and his wife Sarah.
High Sheriff Awards celebrate charitable projects across Hertfordshire
Liz Green, the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, publicly recognised and rewarded ten Hertfordshire voluntary organisations at the 2024 High Sheriff Awards ceremony held on Tuesday, 26 March 2024. The annual Awards, now in their 29th year, celebrate the excellent work undertaken by charitable groups and individuals who have made a significant contribution to Hertfordshire’s communities.
