Funding Local Causes

A simple way to give where you live

Love Herts makes it easy to effectively give support to people in the county you love

Donations to Love Herts are used to help and support a wide range of deserving causes and community initiatives across Hertfordshire which may otherwise go unsupported. Every penny is used to support the work of charities and community groups in Hertfordshire.

By using our extensive knowledge of the county and its voluntary sector, including our Hertfordshire Matters research report, we are able to identify and target the areas and issues most in need of support.

Volunteer led local grassroots level charities provide essential support to individuals and communities. They operate on tiny budgets of considerably less than £10,000 a year. Their inability to compete for funding with larger charities means that over 78% of the money we give each year reaches only the top 3% of charities; this means that a similar amount of our giving here in Hertfordshire leaves our county never to return.

We would love to talk to you about how you can help and become involved. Contact us to find out more. Your generosity will help us to continue to give grants to organisations, like those below, to enable them to carry out their wonderful work in the community. “I didn’t realise quite how many voluntary groups get together every week, all throughout Hertfordshire, with the pure intent of helping others. I find the selfless giving of time and energy by so many in our county for the benefit of others to be truly inspiring. If my involvement in HCF can help some of these amazing initiatives to keep on doing what they are doing, or even better expand their work, then I will be very happy.”
