Funding Local Causes

Groups can apply for £2,000 towards intergenerational activities in St Albans and District

Rolling deadline

This programme aims to support local community and voluntary groups in St Albans and District who bring different generations together and enable them to support each other to tackle isolation and loneliness. It is being funded from the St Albans Fund for the Future, which is the Mayor's Charity of the year 23-24.

All Ages Together is the current Mayor of St Albans theme and is focused on increasing social cohesion, helping people forge new relationships and enabling friendships.

"More than anything, I want to help to connect our communities in order to banish loneliness and isolation which for many have been made worse by the continuing impact of the pandemic. By bringing the generations together, we can create an age-friendly District to enrich all our lives." Mayor Rowlands 2023 - 24

Charities, voluntary and community groups in St Albans who involve a range of generations working together will be eligible to apply. Your group may undertake a range of activities but a key element will be different generations benefiting from each other.
