Dame Stephanie shares her experiences as an entrepreneur and philanthropist

To help celebrate HCF's 30th Anniversary Dame Stephanie Shirley gave an inspirational talk to over 160 guests who attended a lecture on 22 May 2018 at the University of Hertfordshire.

Dame Stephanie came to England at the age of five as a Kindertransport child refugee. This backdrop makes Dame Stephanie’s achievements all the more remarkable both as an entrepreneur and philanthropist.

During her talk she focused on the great pleasure she had gained through her own personal philanthropy and she highlighted the benefits of working in partnership with Community Foundations.

HCF also launched its new publication 'Causes for Celebration' which showcases ten organisations HCF is proud to have supported over the years.

Our thanks go to Dame Stephanie and the University of Hertfordshire for helping make this event such a success.
