Deadline: midnight on Wednesday 6th October

Supported by Hertfordshire County Council and coordinated by Herts Sports Partnership, applications are invited to fund the delivery of enriching and fun holiday activities including physical activities and food for children eligible for benefits related free school meals.

Ideally, activities will run for four hours a day and you can apply for a grant to provide activities for just one day or for up to a maximum of ten days during the delivery period.

The delivery period for Christmas school holidays will fall over three weeks as follows:
    Week 1: 22, 23 & 24 December

    Week 2: 27, 28, 29, 30 & 31 December

    Week 3: 3 & 4 January

Note the highlighted days are Bank Holidays. There is flexibility to vary the days and times as long as the sessions are for four hours.

The funding has been made available by the Department for Education to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds who are less likely to access organised out of holiday activities and are more likely to experience social isolation and holiday hunger.

The fund is open to voluntary and community groups, schools, district councils and private providers where their activities meet the charitable objectives of the fund. This includes existing providers who can expand their provision and also groups who can provide innovative and specialised activities.
