VCS Workforce Development Grants Programme 2021-22

Grants of up to £2,000 available for learning and development in voluntary and community organisations that provide adult social care in Hertfordshire.

Hertfordshire County Council Adult Care Services are funding a grant scheme for voluntary and community sector organisations that provide adult social care in Hertfordshire.
Grants of up to £2,000 are available via Workforce development grants and can be used to support the:
  • Learning and development of the organisation’s workforce

  • Development of the capacity of the organisation to deliver training and skills to its workforce, to carers or to service users/clients to support voluntary and community organisations


The maximum grant for the development of an individual working within an organisation is £500.

Applications will be reviewed, and grants awarded on a first come first served basis until all the funding has been allocated.
Grants must be confirmed before 31 March 2022 and all funded activities finished by 31 May 2022.

NEW APPLICATION PROCESS FOR 2021/22: Please ensure you read our revised guidelines to support your application and simplified the application process. We no longer require the Organisational Needs Analysis prioir to applying for the grant, but will assess the grant application over the phone or via Zoom.

Support available fully funded on request: If your organisations would like to have advice session with one of our grants advisors prior to applying for a grant, you can receive support in prioritising your training needs and completing the application.
