This course will give you an overview of the Charity Governance Code and the legal requirements for trustees. Use this opportunity to learn about trustees' roles and responsibilities, ask questions and meet other trustees.

Who the course is for
This course is suitable for potential or new trustees in Hertfordshire voluntary sector , as well as those with some experience who would like a refresher on their role.

About the trainer:

Sue Pearlman is the lead Governance trainer for HCF and Better Boards, a trustee for Communities 1st and a consultant for NCVO. Sue has a wealth of experience in the voluntary sector and is a skilled facilitator, trainer, supervisor and mentor. She is passionate about the potential of the voluntary sector and understands the different roles that trustees, managers, staff, volunteers, clients, funders and other stakeholders play.

The spring walk was organised by Hertfordshire Community Foundation’s (HCF) Ambassador Henrietta Buxton and graciously hosted by HCF Trustee James Hopkins and his wife Sarah.
High Sheriff Awards celebrate charitable projects across Hertfordshire
