Many charities will be adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and good governance will be crucial in responding to the crisis. During these uncertain times, strong leadership will be vital in ensuring sustainability for local organisations.

Good Governance during COVID-19 and beyond is a series of webinars under our Better Boards programme, to improve the effectiveness of Hertfordshire’s voluntary sector, to help aid response & recovery during COVID-19. If a charity is well run, they will be more likely to meet the growing demand for services in Hertfordshire.

Who the course is for
'Video communication - challenges & solutions' is suitable for both board and staff members of Hertfordshire VCS organisations: Trustees, Chair, CEO & senior leadership staff.

Course content:
'Video communication - challenges & solutions' will include:

  • Moving out of your comfort zone

  • Tips on how to host a video conference & more importantly, how to do it well

  • Technical specifications

  • 'Zoom fatigue'

  • Adapting to webinar training

  • Future-proofing your business



Learning outcomes:
 By the end of the course you will be able:
  • To improve their digital video communication skills

  • To coach other staff & individuals in how to use video conferencing

  • To transform materials into an online format, potentially generating an additional income stream or provide activities at a reduced rate

  • Consider new technology to improve their organisation



Trainer:
 All our interactive, online courses will be led by one of our experienced Better Boards trainers or in collaboration with Impactful Governance, a Hertfordshire based governance training provider.

'Video communication - challenges & solutions' will be led by Impactful Governance, a team of experienced consultants providing advisory support, coaching & training to community organisations. Impactful Governance help charities to to recognise & deliver their charitable aims, determine clear governance and advise on best practice.
