Learning outcomes:
By the end of the course you will:
- Understand the importance of minute taking as a legal requirement in various circumstances
- Understand that agendas need to be carefully planned to ensure that meetings are productive, logical and effective
- Understand what paperwork you as a minute taker should bring to the meeting
- Understand what needs to be included in the minutes and ways of making minutes more concise
- Appreciate the need to produce the minutes in an attractive format so they are read
- Receive a number of template forms that you can adapt and use.
Trainer:
All our interactive, online courses will be led by one of our experienced Better Boards trainers or in collaboration with
Impactful Governance, a Hertfordshire based governance training provider.
'Minute Taking' will be led by Robin Hodgkinson. Robin is a freelance voluntary sector trainer and consultant, and HCF Training & Development Better Boards trainer.
