Funding Local Causes

Leave a gift in your will

By supporting HCF in your will, you can give back to your local community in a number of ways

It is estimated that around 80% of legacy donations left to charity each year go to charities with a turnover of £10million or more . Smaller, grassroots projects making a fantastic difference locally are missing out.*
Rather than being a drop in the ocean, your gift could be a lifesaver to small, local Hertfordshire charities and community groups, many of which are volunteer-led. After making provision for your loved ones, perhaps you would consider leaving a lasting legacy to your local community by leaving a gift to us in your Will.

The process of leaving a gift in your will to Hertfordshire Community Foundation is straight-forward. When making or updating your Will with your solicitor, wealth manager or financial adviser, you can state your intentions using a Letter of Wishes and we can ensure your gift has a lasting impact on the causes that mean the most to you.

Whether you are an individual who wants to make an immediate philanthropic impact or a family wanting to leave a lasting legacy in memory of a loved one, we are here to provide guidance and support with our years of experience to ensure that your wishes are acted upon effectively and that you will be making a tangible difference to your local community when you are no longer here. We can accept gifts of shares, property or investments, as well as cash donations.
