Hertfordshire Community Foundation provides a range of grants to support the county's community and voluntary groups.

All Ages Together in St Albans

Grants of up to £2,000

HCC Community Transport Fund

Grants of up to £500

Grants of up to £10,000 available for projects addressing need and deprivation in Hertfordshire, with regular deadlines throughout the year.

Access to music

Grants of up to £1,000

Application deadline: rolling

Charities, community groups, non-profits and schools can apply for grants to improve access to music for children and young people in Hertfordshire.

Enviromental projects

Application deadline: rolling

Grants of up to £5,000

Funding for projects that aim to improve our local environment in Hertfordshire, help residents reduce their energy use and educate about the impact of climate change.

Hertfordshire Community Spaces

Grants of up to £2,000

Application deadline: rolling

Funding for community groups to open their doors wide to their community, made available by Hertfordshire County Council as part of the Government’s Household Support Grant

Hertfordshire Educational Fund Trips/Activities

Application deadline: rolling

Schools can apply for funding to subsidise educational trips/activities taking place in this academic year (2023/24)

HAPpy Holiday Activity & Food Programme (HAF)

Application Deadline: Currently Closed

Grants available for the delivery of school holiday activity programmes to children from aged 4 to 16 (Reception age to year 11 inclusive) eligible for benefits related free school meals

HCC Building Life Chances

Grants of up to £10,000

Application deadline: Currently closed

Funding for groups supporting vulnerable people affected by the pandemic to help address inequalities

The Frank Litchfield Trust

Grants of up to £5,000

Application deadline: Currently closed

For groups within 20 miles of Royston, addressing need and disadvantage including rural isolation

Learning & development

Application deadline: Currently closed

Hertfordshire voluntary & community organisations providing adult social care can now apply for grants towards workforce learning & development. Grants of up to £1,500 for organisations & £500 for individuals working within an organisation.

The Quercus Fund

Grants of up to £5,000

Application deadline: Currently closed

Grants of up to £5,000 available for voluntary and community groups supporting young people in the Watford area.

Hertfordshire User Voice Grant Fund

Grants from £12,000

This programme has closed for applications

For groups that support people with a learning disability who either live in the community, or in supported living or care settings.

Hertfordshire Grassroots Domestic Abuse Support

Grants from £10,000 to £50,000

This programme has closed for applications

This HCC funding is for organisations who work with people from under-represented groups who may not be accessing traditional domestic abuse services.

Household Support Fund for Groups

Grants of up to £10,000

This programme has closed for applications

Funding for groups supporting adults and families in need to access food, fuel and water - especially those with disabilities

High Sheriff Awards celebrate charitable projects across Hertfordshire
